Exhibition
With the Media Technology MSc programme we have taken OBSOLETE as the global theme for this year’s semester project exhibition. Our intent was to explore this theme in the broadest sense (social, philosophical, biological, etc.) and make associations with terms like unique, useless and mutation. The students have been collaborating in groups of three where each group has been asked to choose one of the sub-themes.
The semester project has three phases. First of all the students are asked to look into their themes and come up with everything that is possibly related. After gaining insight in the theme they are asked to formulate compelling statements. Once this is done they are asked to translate their statement in a work that can be exhibited in a group exhibition.
The students will host the exhibition themselves and are open to answer any questions related to the process they’ve gone through. Although the exhibited works should speak for themselves we believe it is interesting to hear what has taken place before and is not included in the final work.

Get to know the what and the why behind each student project. In short presentations, each project team explains how their work came about and what lies behind it. Discuss the works with their makers, and as them any question you wish.
