POPCON (Popular Culture Convention) Asia was a festival to celebrate creative contents (comic books, toys, animation), an industry that has become huge in the last couple of decades, mostly run by young people. It ran for three days on the third weekend of November (19-21 November 2014) at SMESCO Exhibition Hall.

Studiomili opened a booth there, selling lovely posters from their Poster Parade collection. The venue was quite full when Mas Tirta and I went there on a rainy Sunday afternoon after Park Jammers’ performance at the Hidden Park, and at first it was quite difficult to find their booth.

After we found their booth and met Arris, we had a look around the exhibition. I met Marin at Jouwe booth and Eri at Akademi Samali booth. We also saw many cute and interesting toys along the way..
