We wanted to go for a stroll in Yogyakarta but since we were so lazy to get off our asses in the morning we only had less than two hours before going to LIR. So we decided to go to Malioboro – Titing needed to buy some ‘oleh-oleh’ (souvenirs) and I needed to get a good internet connection to promote Supper Snapshots.

We took a becak to Malioboro and oh my it was a very hot day. The becak trip took around 15 minutes because the driver took the long way around (but less steep) and he dropped us off on the south end of Malioboro.

We had a stroll up north and bought klepon right outside the Bringharjo market. The klepon were extra sweet because the vendor poured a spoon of sugar on top of the already sweet traditional snacks. After a short walk we finally found Dunkin Donuts in the middle of Malioboro (Dunkin Donuts has the best wifi connection by far in Java and Bali) and we had a quick lunch there and later I did some Supper Snapshots updates while Titing was looking for oleh-oleh. Half an hour later she came back carrying three boxes of gudeg.

We walked to the nearest crossing and fetched a becak from there. However, we spotted an ice cream shop so we bought a couple of ice creams before heading to LIR.
